Kevin Harvick Fans Should Be Happy To Visit Martinsville Speedway

It seems that most every article we write on here (this is my 100th by the way!) is somehow related to the tough economic waves our beloved sport is trying to float through.

Earlier this week, Daytona International Speedway announced tickets for sale at the lowest since 1995, today Martinsville Speedway has announced a partnership with Richard Childress' Kevin Harvick, as well as some price cuts for tickets on the back stretch.

First, the speedway has partnered with Harvick for the first-ever "Harvick's Home Track Advantage" promotion.

Basically, the promotion states that Martinsville is considered Harvick's home track (as it's only 30 minutes from his home in Kernersville, N.C.).

The promotion is only open to members of the Kevin Harvick Fan Club, and offers fans a $66 two-day package with tickets to the Kroger 250 Camping World Truck Series and the Goody's Fast Pain Relief 500 NASCAR Sprint Cup race. Fans wanting to only attend the Sprint Cup race can purchase tickets individually for $44 (another savings of $33).

The package is a savings of $33 total and is no coincidental number. The No. 33 is driven by three-time Truck Series champion Ron Hornaday under the KHI banner.

"It’s very important to me to be able to partner with Kevin Harvick Inc.’s hometown track. Martinsville has always been one of my favorite tracks on the NASCAR circuit,” said Harvick, who drives the No. 29 Shell-Pennzoil Chevrolet on the NASCAR Sprint Cup circuit. “I’m looking forward to our new partnership, because it will bring a great racing package to my most loyal fans.” (MartinsvilleSpeedway.com)

“This is a great deal for Kevin’s fans and Martinsville Speedway,” said Martinsville Speedway president Clay Campbell. “We are really appreciative of Kevin stepping up to become a partner with us.” (MartinsvilleSpeedway.com)

Club Members wishing to purchase only tickets to the Truck Series event can do so for $26 in advance or $31 at the track. (The savings of $4 is again is no accident as it is the number of the KHI truck driven by Ricky Carmichael.)

Anyone wishing to join the Kevin Harvick Fan Club can visit www.kevinharvick.com.

Tickets are on sale for the Goody’s Fast Pain Relief 500 and the Kroger 250 and may be purchased by calling 877.722.3849 or on line at www.martinsvillespeedway.com.

While the speedway has announced the promotion dealing with Harvick, they have also dropped the prices of tickets along the backstretch to $25.

“We continually look for ways to help our fans and make sure they are still going to be able to see the exciting races Martinsville Speedway has to offer,” said Speedway president W. Clay Campbell. (MartinsvilleSpeedway.com)

Fans may take advantage of the $25 backstretch offer by visiting www.martinsvillespeedway.com or calling 877.722.3849.

Martinsville Speedway has rolled out several attractive ticket packages for the Goody’s Fast Pain Relief 500, including:

• Four Pack: Four adult tickets for $159, a savings of $41.

• Family Four Pack: Two adults and two children (12 & under) for $99, a savings of $41.
