Arsenal Transfer Rumors: Players Recruiting Give Gunners Edge for Yann M'Vila

David DanielsJun 4, 2012

Yann M’Vila won’t sign where he isn’t wanted.

Well, he definitely knows he’s wanted on Arsenal. The extra effort that the Gunners’ players are putting into the recruitment of the 21-year-old defensive fiend will ultimately give them the edge in signing him.

John Cross of Mirror reported that Arsenal defender Bacary Sagna wants to play alongside M’Vila next season. Sagna said:

"

We want more players to come to the team. Lukas Podolski has arrived already and he is a German international and a quality player. M’Vila can make a great impact. I’m not sure about his English but it took me time to learn. But I think he would suit us as well. Arsenal is a French-speaking team and it will help him settle.

"

Another Gunner that wants to play alongside M'Vila is Laurent Koscielny. According to the Daily Mail, Podolski he said:

"

Yann is a player with enormous quality. He is strong on the ball and has great vision. He can triumph in an important competition like the Premier League. Would he be good at Arsenal? Of course. I will try to convince him to come when we are together at the Euros.

"

While Gareth McKnight of goal.com reported that M’Vila won’t make a decision until after Euro 2012, that doesn’t mean that the Gunners should shift their scope from him. With his age and physical ability, the sky is the limit for the French footballer.

According to Metro, Inter Milan is Arsenal’s greatest competition for M’Vila, but let’s get real. The Black and Blues aren’t exactly on the same level as the Gunners. On top of the fact that Arsenal is the more attractive landing spot, they’re recruiting M’Vila harder—or at least that’s sure what it looks like.

When Euro 2012 concludes, expect M’Vila to call himself a Gunner.
