All-Time Funniest Athletes
I was asked to help select theĀ funniest moments in sports and sports movies.Ā Iām going to take a different spin on this and pick out some of the funniest athletes.Ā
Iām sure Iām leaving a bunch out, so feel free to add.Ā These are in no particular order.
Yogi Berra - The Yankee great was a classic.Ā He came up with some of baseballās most memorable quotes.Ā Hereās an example:Ā āBaseball is 90 percent mental.Ā The other half is physical.ā
Muhammad Ali - Another guy with the gift of gab.Ā Hereās one of Aliās:Ā āFrazier is so ugly that he should donate his face to the U.S. Bureau of Wildlife.ā
Rickey Henderson - Anyone that talks in the third person as much as Rickey is hilarious to me.Ā Here is one of Rickeyās keepers:Ā āThis is Rickey calling on behalf of Rickey.Ā Rickey wants to play baseball.ā
Charles Barkley - The guy simply doesnāt have an edit button.Ā His mouth occasionally gets him into trouble, but you have to love his honesty.
Shaq - The Big Aristotle almost always wears a great big smile and delivers some great lines.Ā You can just tell he is fun.Ā Went a little over the top with his question to Kobe, but heās delivered enough over the years to forgive him.
Peyton Manning - Was surprisingly funny on SNL, plus heās a big time practical joker.
Reggie Miller - If you have ever heard him on the Dan Patrick radio show, youāll know what Iām talking about.Ā Reggie Miller is a funny cat.
Max Patkin - The Clown Prince of Baseball.Ā Enough said.
Bob Uecker - Although, I use the word āathleteā loosely with him.
Honorable Mention:
Mike Tyson - If he wasnāt such a train wreck (and scary for that matter), he might crack the list.
