Alabama Football Recruiting: Should Robert Nkemdiche Pick the Tide over LSU?

The nation's number one recruit, Robert Nkemdiche, has offers from all over the country on his plate, and as his recruitment carries on, there are several major players. Georgia, Clemson and Ole Miss are in the mix for the big defensive end from Georgia. Tennessee has recently seen Nkemdiche speak favorably of the Volunteers, as well.

However, the two biggest guys angling for Nkemdiche are Les Miles and Nick Saban. Miles, the one-time national championship coach and current SEC Champion, versus Saban, the three-time national champion and reigning title holder. Miles and the Tigers run a 4-3 scheme that would allow Nkemdiche to move into the defensive end spot quickly and capitalize on the teachings of John Chavis. Saban and Kirby Smart, with their 3-4, would be looking to develop Nkemdiche into a solid edge rusher that could wreak havoc on SEC quarterbacks.

It's a great discussion to have as folks are waiting to see where the big-time player ends up. Ultimately the choice is his and wherever he decides to go he will be bringing plenty of talent and skill to the roster. He's got plenty of options; LSU and Alabama are just two of the schools courting the rising senior from Georgia.
