WWE News: Why Wasn't Sheamus Fired for Shoving John Laurinaitis on Raw?

Last night on WWE's Monday Night Raw, John Laurinaitis told John Cena that if he or anyone else were to lay a finger on him, they would be terminated immediately.

Moments later, Sheamus shoved Laurinaitis on his way to the ring to help John Cena from an attack by Tyler Reks, Curt Hawkins, Titus O'Neil and Darren Young. Michael Cole yelled, "Hey, he just ran over the boss!"

Many fans expected John Laurinaitis to fire Sheamus on the spot. After all, Sheamus "layed a finger" on Laurinaitis by running him over. However, Sheamus was not fired. Instead, John Laurinaitis put Sheamus in a three-on-two handicap lumberjack tag match with John Cena vs. Tensai, Dolph Ziggler and Jack Swagger.

Sheamus has attacked non-competitors in the past. Back in April, Sheamus brogue kicked referee Chad Patton and was later fined $500,000.

The question remains: why wasn't Sheamus fired or even fined for running over John Laurinaitis last night on Raw?

If we re-watch the video of the incident, it looks like Sheamus intentionally shoved Laurinaitis—considering he extended his elbows out to strike Laurinaitis.

Perhaps Sheamus has made a behind-the-scenes deal with John Laurinaitis (like Big Show) to join Laurinaitis' "People Power" crew and is in the process of turning heel.

Since WrestleMania XXVIII, Sheamus has been on the receiving end of some boos from the crowd. Also since WrestleMania, Sheamus has attacked a referee and has had issues with Randy Orton. Perhaps a heel-turn is in Sheamus' future. A heel-turn would probably help Sheamus, considering he has grown a bit stale. How much longer can Sheamus just smile to the crowd and pound his chest?

Maybe I'm blowing things out of proportion, maybe not.
