Arsenal Transfer Rumours: Gunners a Better Fit for Yann M'Vila Than Inter Milan

Stade Rennes midfielder Yann M'Vila would be foolish to move to Inter Milan over Arsenal in this summer's transfer window because the Gunners are a much better fit for the rising French star.

M'Vila has been linked with several clubs in recent weeks, and according to the Metro, the Italian club has strengthened their pursuit of the Frenchman.

Inter Milan have since stepped up their interest in the France international and Real Madrid have also been linked with the 21-year-old, who expects to have more than one offer to consider.

"My choice is not made," M'Vila told RMC.

"If I had made it before the end of the championship, it would have shown a lack of respect for the club. I will discuss it after the final league game."

It's not surprising at all that Inter would want M'Vila. For starters, they are an aging squad badly needing youth at almost every position, especially in the midfield.

Inter also needs a replacement for defensive midfielder Esteban Cambiasso, who, at age 31, won't be a world-class player for much longer.

However, M'Vila has little reason to choose the Italian club over the Gunners. Milan cannot offer him Champions League football since they had an abysmal season in Serie A this year, finishing sixth in the table.

Arsenal can offer him a spot in the Champions League after they finished third in the Premier League this season. M'Vila would likely be a starter for Arsenal next season if he came to the Emirates, and would really help the squad with his all-around ability in the midfield.

The Gunners also have several French players who M'Vila would probably feel comfortable being with on and off the pitch, such as France national team right back Bacary Sagna.

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is also French, and has had great success turning young players from France into superstars. Just look at Thierry Henry and Patrick Vieira.

M'Vila would be foolish to choose Inter Milan over Arsenal. The Italian club is struggling and there is no reason to think they will be a force in Europe for several years to come. Domestically, M'Vila would improve at a higher rate and face better competition in the Premier League over the Serie A.

The choice is clear for M'Vila: The best decision for his career is to come to the Emirates.
