Coming through in the clutch is what great players do, and that is what Didier Drogba has proven himself to be. Drogba's performance in the UEFA Finals not only saved Chelsea's hide, but it served notice, to anyone who didn't already know, that he is one of the world's best.

Drogba turned 34 years old just two months ago, but he proved there is plenty left in the tank.

He not only tied the match with Bayern Munich at one in the 88th minute with a brilliant header, he also scored the decisive goal in the shootout. He isn't a goal-scoring machine like Lionel Messi, but Drogba lifted his team when they needed him most.

The beautiful header that tied the match was just another example of his great aerial skills. Check out the goal here:

He is so strong, which enables him to get in the air and still make a play on the ball, as he did on that play.

It's been six years since Drogba was named African Footballer of the Year for leading Chelsea to back-to-back Premier League titles, but this day will vault him back into the forefront of world football fans' minds.

With his aggressive style, power, aerial skills and ability to use both feet, there aren't many forwards in the world that are better.

Now fresh off this huge performance, Chelsea is faced with possibly losing their hero during the transfer season. We don't know what will happen, but it's clear Drogba's popularity and value should be at an all-time high.

What is certain is that whatever club secures his services is getting a great player.
