Arsenal Transfer Rumors: Top Targets Who Should Be on Gunners' Wish List

According to the Mirror, Clint Dempsey is being linked to Arsenal this summer as one of their top transfer targets. He headlines the list of players they need to consider making a strong move to acquire.

Arsenal is always among the primary teams that the top players consider when transfer season begins. If the rumors around the web are true, this year will be no different. 

The Gunners are linked to a number of the world's best footballers this summer, and I'm going to break down which of them would be the best fit and, therefore, who should be their top targets.

Clint Dempsey

Obviously, Dempsey would be a fantastic addition to the Gunners' roster. His ability to score goals against any team at any given moment makes him a coveted target this summer.

The Sun reports that Fulham has already offered Dempsey a three-year extension, but that won't stop teams like Arsenal and Liverpool from fighting over him this summer.

Dempsey is one of the top forwards in the world, because he can do so much more than simply score goals. He is an adept distributor as well, and he loves to play defense in the middle of the field. 

He should be at the top of Arsenal's transfer wish list.

Foday Nabay

James Pearson of Sky Sports has reported that the Gunners are the favorites to land this young star.

Landing Nabay would clearly be a move for the future of the club, but long-term success is absolutely dependent on making sure your future is set.

Nabay is only 13 years old. It's hard to believe that someone so young would be the target of such a high-profile team as Arsenal, but believe me, he's worth the risk.

Eden Hazard

Hazard is certainly a long shot for the Gunners, as he's being strongly linked to both Manchester clubs this summer. He has even stated that he's going to be playing in a blue jersey, according to the Mirror.

That being said, everything is still up in the air until Hazard actually shows up in Manchester City's locker room with a signed contract. 

Hazard has long been linked to Arsenal. He is an attacking winger who would be a huge addition to an already-loaded front line, and it wouldn't surprise me to see Arsenal make a final strong push to outbid both Manchester clubs in an effort to land his services.
