Coming off a home game loss to Green Bay 76-83, Valpo hits the road for their next three, including Friday's match up against defending conference champ Butler. It wasn’t that Valpo played that poorly against Green Bay, they just are not quite as good of a team as Ryan Tillema and the Phoenix.
Butler got three happy against Milwaukee on Saturday making 15 from long range. But it has really been their defense that has propelled Butler to a perfect conference record despite starting three freshmen.
Butler has held its last six opponents under 60 points per game and ranks third in the nation in giving up just 55.6 on average. The last team to score more than 60 on the Bulldogs was Valpo on Jan. 3, but event then Butler held them under 40 percent shooting for the game.
