Manchester City manager Roberto Mancini admitted he has plans to sign Eden Hazard in the summer transfer window, The Sun has revealed.

So far, a number of clubs have tried to persuade the young Belgian playmaker and Lille star, but it appears Real Madrid, Manchester United and City are the main favorites.

Mancini said in an interview with a French magazine:

I like Hazard a lot. He's a really good player, he's young and he would do great things in our team. Given his technical qualities City would be the perfect destination for him.

I know him and have been following him for a long time. He's a player a lot of teams want.

However, the name of the magazine is yet to be disclosed.

The Manchester City boss has been seen watching Hazard on numerous occasions. The latest Lille match he visited was the clash with Valenciennes in March.

Meanwhile, United manager Sir Alex revealed his admiration for the youngster after watching Lille's 2-1 defeat to Lyon.

I came to watch Lille play Lyon and followed Hazard of course, along with other players. He is a very good player who has many qualities. He is particularly fast over the first 10 yards.

Real Madrid are yet to make a contact over a possible deal for Hazard, even though he admitted he idolized Zinedine Zidane, who is now the sporting director in Madrid, reported Goal.com.

What do you think? Who has more realistic chances to sign Hazard?
