Masters Odds 2012: Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy Take on the Rest of the Field

Jeff GrantJun 7, 2018

The 2012 Masters Tournament will tee off on Thursday morning with an expected 97 players taking to the golf course in Augusta, Ga., but almost everyone's focus will be centered on Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy.

Bovada sports book has created a proposition wager that combines Woods and McIrloy at odds of +225 versus the rest of the field (-300) in hopes of donning the green jacket on Sunday afternoon.

Woods was last seen winning the Arnold Palmer Invitational by five shots with a score of 13-under on March 25, which also served as his first PGA Tour victory since capturing the 2009 BMW Championship.

He is the betting favorite to win his fifth Masters, but it's important to note that he hasn't won the event since 2005.

Northern Ireland's McIlroy had every chance of winning the 2011 Masters, holding the first, second and third round leads until faltering in the final 18 holes.

He didn't cave under the pressure in his next major event at Congressional, capturing the U.S. Open Championship with a final score of 16-under.

The 22-year-old has finished in the top three in all tour events this year, including a win in The Honda Classic in March.

Casual bettors are going to have a hard time staying away from parlaying the top two choices in the betting market against the rest of the field, which is why its best to grab the current odds at a nice underdog price.

I'll be one of many rooting on these two golfers to make some noise on championship Sunday.
