Brock Lesnar: Scenarios, Rumors and Spoilers Regarding WrestleMania 28 Return

Jun 7, 2018

With WrestleMania 28 just hours away, the Super Bowl of wrestling is drawing the same kind of media scrutiny that the NFL version does.

Rumors are flying, but one huge name keeps rising to the surface: Brock Lesnar.

Insiders are pointing to a possible WWE return for the former UFC and WWE champion, and the hope is that it could be tonight.

Rumors

Wrestling Observer was the first to report the Lesnar sighting:

"Brock Lesnar has arrived in Miami and arrived with security and a large group of people shielding him from everyone. This is the going story, but not confirmed, that Lesnar has signed a one year deal and will work a more than Undertaker and less than Goldberg type of schedule."

WrestleZone and Wrestling Observer are talking about a possible one-year deal that could have the former UFC Champ return at WrestleMania 28:

"

According to F4WOnline.com, former WWE and UFC star Brock Lesnar has signed a one year deal with WWE, which would clear him to make an appearance at WrestleMania tomorrow night.

"

While hindsight is 20-20, Brock Lesnar foreshadowed what is transpiring right now to ESPN:

"

I think I will. I think under the right circumstances I will. I think if Vince McMahon and I were able to sit down at the same dinner table and break some bread that we could come up with some kind of game plan. At the end of the day, I'm an ultimate fighter. That's who I am and that's who I'll always be. I was an entertainer but at the end of the day, I'm still as real as it gets. I think a lot of things have to fall in the right places for something like that to happen.

"

How It should Go Down

For Brock Lesnar, there is one clear feud that must happen when he comes back to WWE, and that’s with Undertaker.

After a hard-fought match and a victory, the battered and beaten Undertaker can walk up the ramp before doing the patented look over his shoulder finale that he does all the time. It would be at that point that Lesnar’s music hits and he appears at the top of the ramp.

A simple hand gesture would suffice here as to symbolize the challenge, with no physical attack needed. With Undertaker in far better shape this year than last, working a possible trio of bouts with Lesnar that culminate in the rubber match at WrestleMania 29 is a perfect scenario.

What’s Really Going to Happen

As crazy as it sounds, Brock Lesnar may be having two dream matches during his tenure in WWE. While The Rock has been talked about as the main event for SummerSlam, his opponent has never been named.

If you were in WWE’s shoes, would you allow Lesnar to feud with The Rock going into SummerSlam and with Undertaker going into WrestleMania? Allow Shawn Michaels vs. Triple H to get the year worth of build and have Undertaker vs. Lesnar as the co-main event.

Lesnar will not be getting the World Championship again in WWE, but he could be involved in two of the best recent feuds if WWE plays its cards right.
