WWE News: All Signs Point to Triple H vs. Shawn Michaels at WrestleMania 29

While the WWE is claiming that this is the “End of an Era” match between Triple H and Undertaker at WrestleMania 28, it will not be the end of the road for wither man.

As a matter of fact, next year’s WrestleMania main event will be Shawn Michaels vs. Triple H.

Book it.

Undertaker will not lose this year at WrestleMania on the sheer fact that the 20-0 WrestleMania record is too amazing not to tout for a year. An Undertaker win means at least one more match on the biggest stage before he retires, but how can the WWE convince people that Triple H deserves the honor of another main event match?

Have Shawn Michaels get involved; taint the ending.

Wrestling insider Justin LaBar is reporting on WrestleZone and Bleacher Report about next WrestleMania’s Main Event:

After speaking with sources, WZ has learned that WWE involved Shawn Michaels in the Hell in a Cell match between Triple H and The Undertaker with a tentative plan to set up HBK's involvement at WrestleMania 29. It is believed that the current plan in mind is to run some kind of finish to the Hell in a Cell match that causes Triple H to call out Shawn Michaels the next night on RAW.

It is clear who is really starting to pull the trigger on the moves behind the scenes. While Vince McMahon still controls the show, Triple H has become the clear voice for what the WWE looks like on a weekly basis.

It’s that pull that will have Shawn Michaels and Triple H headlining WrestleMania 29. Just like The Rock and John Cena, expect a full year of build for this match as well.

Yuck.

With Undertaker going for his 21st win, another possible match with The Rock, a possible return of Stone Cold Steve Austin and other huge storylines, the Triple H vs. Shawn Michaels match may be the least deserving headlining match in WWE history.

While the history and storytelling is simple for Triple H and HBK because it’s real, there are so many better directions the WWE can go. The fans have seen this angle plenty of times, and it is wearing thin.

I wouldn't mind seeing this match next year, but just not as the show's main attraction.
