The buzz surrounding Jorge Soler has died down in recent weeks, but that doesn't mean teams are losing interest. The race for the 20-year-old is wide open as several teams are lining up to sign Soler once MLB declares him a free agent.

The asking price will be high for someone of his age, but could be a bargain considering many believe he is a better, younger version of Yoenis Cespedes. An all-out bidding war will take place once he is officially on the market.

Here are the five teams with the best chances of landing Soler:

Toronto Blue Jays

The dark horse in the fight to get Soler may be the Toronto Blue Jays. The outfielder worked out for the team in the Dominican Republic last month. The Blue Jays missed out on Yu Darvish this offseason and have money to spend.

Toronto may have an inside edge because of Adeiny Hechavarria, its recent Cuban signing. Soler and Hechavarria are both represented by the Praver-Shapiro Sports Management Group. Don't be surprised if the Blue Jays come out of nowhere and steal the talented prospect.

Boston Red Sox

The Red Sox have recently added their name to the Soler race. The Cuban outfielder has tremendous power potential, and some scouts have said that he is a five-tool player.

The Boston Red Sox, like the Yankees, are getting older but have plenty of money to spend. An opportunity to get a player as young and talented as Soler outside of the draft is rare, so the team will at least be players in the Soler race.

In all likelihood, the Red Sox will fall short and let three teams battle it out...

Philadelphia Phillies

Another large-market team in the running for Soler are the Philadelphia Phillies. The team's general manager Ruben Amaro Jr. said that they like what they've seen from the Cuban prospect

This would be a smart move for the Phillies because of their minor league system that is in need of talented players. In recent years, the future has been sacrificed for the present within the organization, so expect the team to go all-in on Soler.

New York Yankees

Of course, no big-money free agent is out of reach for the New York Yankees. After the rumors about the Cubs signing Soler last month were proven false, it was reported that the team was heavily interested in the Cuban outfielder

The Yankees want to keep their minor league system stocked with talent with their major league team aging in some key spots. Soler would be the perfect fit for a team with money and an opportunity to take a risk like the Yankees.

Chicago Cubs

The front-runners for Jorge Soler are the Chicago Cubs. It has been widely reported over the past month that Soler has either been signed by the Cubs or that they are very close to getting a deal done.

While both of these claims have been denied by general manager Jed Hoyer, it is no secret the Cubs are very interested in the outfielder. Signing the 20-year-old would be a big step in the Epstein/Hoyer era and add to an already-improved farm system.

Expect the Cubs to outbid everyone and take home the last coveted free agent of the offseason.
