Mechelen 2 - Anderlecht 1 (Beker van Belgie, January 13, 2009) Belgium league leaders Anderlecht were dumped out of the cup. Bjorn Vleminckx and Joachim Mununga scored from the hosts while Rnic scored Anderlecht’s only goal.

Before the match, Mechelen mourned the passing of Lei Clijsters (father of Kim Clijsters), who starred for the Belgium club during the 80s as well as playing in two World Cups for the national side, who sadly died last week aged-52 from lung cancer. The memorial for Lei Clijsters can be seen here.
