San Francisco 49ers Free Agency Wish List
At roughly 7 p.m. yesterday, my phone exploded with texts about the 49ers signing Randy Moss.
In light of this, the article that I had written regarding the 49ers' free agency wish list had rendered obsolete.
And I'm sure that by the time this one is published, it too will be obsolete.

But this is the exciting nature that is the NFL free-agency period.
As it stands now, I believe, as do most others, that the signing of Randy Moss satisfies the 49ers' desire to add a top-flight wide receiver to the roster.
In short, because of this singing, names like Marques Colston and Vincent Jackson have left the discussion.
This does not mean that the 49ers will not draft a wide receiver. I believe they will, but not in the first round.
For what it's worth, the 49ers' wish list now consists of the following players:
Alex Smith, QB
Carols Rogers, CB
Joshua Morgan, WR
Such a boring train of logic really stems from the 49ers wanting and willing to put the same team back on the field in 2012 as was in 2011.
The Ahmad Brooks signing confirms this as well as the retaining of Parys Haralson.
It is widely known that the one minus from 2011 heading into 2012 will most probably be right guard, Chilo Rachal. It remains to be seen how he will be replaced. I don't see the 49ers shelling out $50 million to guard Carl Nicks from New Orleans.
So, soak up the NFL free-agency rays now while you can, 49ers fans, because this Moss signing seems to be first, last and only splash.
