After stating their case on the field Thursday night, the Florida Gators finish No. 1 in the final Official Championship Game Ratings (OCGR) of the season. Texas, which survived a scare from Ohio State, finishes in the No. 2 spot. The team without a blemish, Utah, rounds out the top three.
(OCGR Creator note: If the complete OCGR was used this season, Texas would have played in the Big 12 Championship and there would have been different bowl matchups for at least 12 bowls. These two things might have changed the ratings at season's end and could have changed the top two. Remember, the main purpose of the OCGR is to determine the two most deserving teams based on the entire season to play in the championship game, which would be played after the bowl games.)
