WWE Elimination Chamber: Why Chamber Is the Best Gimmick PPV
While the WWE doesn't always hit the target on gimmick matches and events, that's exactly what they have done with the Elimination Chamber PPV. Think about it, we are twice treated to matches featuring six of the best superstars in the business, nothing is better than that.
TLC Matches are loaded with spot fests, basically turning into one high risk move followed by another. That is reasonably fun at first, but it doesn't take long to get boring.
Other events, such as Hell in a Cell have their brutality work against them. We know that a Hell in a Cell match is going to feature a lot of hard-hitting action, but also too much rest. The only way to sell a hard-hitting move is to have at least the recipient stay down for a long time.

Often times, both he and the man who applied the move end up incapacitated.
Sure, that happens in the Elimination Chamber as well, but the difference is that this isn't a one-on-one match. No, this gives the same smash mouth style that you see in a Hell in a Cell bout with a variety only topped in the Royal Rumble match. That is a special combination.
If a few wrestlers are down, selling a move, you as a fan don't need to sit there twiddling your thumbs. As a matter of fact, that's not even an option. All that you have to do is turn your focus to two other superstars and you're right back in the action.
If all six fighters are squared off against one other, you get three matches in one.
The elimination format also sets this apart. If you were watching six superstars fighting to only one fall, there is a real chance that you would end up missing something significant. That doesn't really happen here.
Obviously, not every event can be one of the "Big Four." We get that, all that we want to do is be entertained. Here, that's exactly what we get.
The Elimination Chamber is featured twice at the event that bears its name. We get an extremely entertaining match and we get it twice.
As if that wasn't enough, there is one other thing working in the Elimination Chamber's favor that no other PPV has. When it's over, the exit on the Road to Wrestlemania is not far at all.
