Peyton Manning Rumors: Bill Polian Contradicts QB's Mysterious Health Woes

Eric BowmanJun 7, 2018

The Peyton Manning saga this NFL offseason continues to shock, as Indianapolis Colts ex-president Bill Polian believes the star quarterback is doing just fine. This disputes reports from earlier in the month, leading to many confused fans around the league.

Polian told Alex Marvez of FOX Sports that he would be sad if Manning didn't play, because he thinks he's ready.

"

"I believe very firmly that Peyton will play,” said Polian, who personally saw Manning throw late in December during a workout. “I’d be very surprised if he does not and very saddened. The only reason that he won’t play is if the arm doesn’t come around.

"But anybody I’ve talked to that’s close to him leads me to believe that’s headed in the right direction."

Just last week, NFL Network's Mike Lombardi said his sources told him that Peyton "can't throw the ball to his left" and that he "doesn't really have velocity on the ball yet."

It's uncertain who knows what's really going on, and that is the unfortunate part about it.

Only a select few people know the truth about Manning's health and his status with the Colts, and it's very frustrating that the public is being kept out of the loop.

Of course, the public doesn't need to know everything that's going on, but some real information would certainly be nice. There's so much back-and-forth banter from Colts owner Jim Irsay and everyone associated with Peyton, which just needs to stop.

It's extremely annoying to watch it all unfold, but there's less than a month left until Manning is due his $28-million bonus.

Until then, the Manning saga will continue to be blown out of proportion no matter who is doing the talking. Heck, it could even be Manning's third-grade teacher saying something and people would run with it.

Once Manning and Irsay have a sit-down meeting sometime in the next week, perhaps the media and the fans will get some real answers.

For now, everyone has to sit back and continue to hear conflicting reports on the matter. Whether he's cut by the Colts or not, Manning will be the biggest story this offseason.

The Pro Bowl quarterback is the talk of the town right now, and Polian's words are just further proof that it's too difficult to believe what anyone is saying about Manning.
