Jeremy Lin: Top Tweets as Linsanity Sweeps the NBA Nation

Gabe ZaldivarJun 6, 2018

Jeremy Lin is the new hotness, and that means Twitter is working overtime to keep up with the witty and hilarious observations of America's favorite next big thing.

I am sure there was some great big sports story before Tim Tebow. It's hard to see that far in the past with all the hype clouding the memory.

Well, there is a new kid on the block that is stealing a great deal of the same buzz that swarmed the Mile High Messiah. The nation is Linsane in the membrane for Knicks guard Jeremy Lin.

Here is how Twitter views the best thing to happen to the Knicks since ground broke on Madison Square Garden.

Sports Illustrated's Jimmy Traina may be onto something with this tweet. I would look for the Twitter Fail Whale shortly.

If the condensed schedule doesn't deliver enough Jeremy Lin for your liking, Darren Rovell tweets that the Lin FatHead is here for you uber sports nerds.

Here is the pic. Which you can, of course, get here at FatHead

The Fake ESPN has a point in this tweet, but I doubt there is anything official about this. Okay, maybe there is.

Spike Lee has been going nuts for Jeremy Lin. I fully expect Lin to feature in Lee's next joint. He could do The Jeremy Lin Story, which would be interesting considering the biggest star of the moment is crashing on his brother's couch right now.

Here is proof.

Throw it down with immense hype big man. Here is a tweet from the fake Bill Walton.

Steve Nash chimes in with a tweet of his own. He knows a thing or two about being a point guard in the Association, so I am inclined to believe him.

This tweet features my new favorite nickname for Lin, The Goods.

When ESPN NFL analyst Adam Schefter tweets on a basketball player, it's a big deal.

If you need to see just how well Lin's bravado is doing, consider how wide open he was on this monster dunk Thursday night.

Knicks beat writer Frank Isola takes the silly up a notch by making a huge comparison in this tweet.

Trey Kerby jumps on board with this tweet

I agree with this Tweep, get this dude a bed.

Forget this tweet, Lin may be up for player of the year.

Phil Taylor says what we are all thinking.

Arash Markazi tweets one big "shame on all of you."

Sorry, Tweep. Too late.

The legend that is Jeremy Lin continues to grow with every dunk and 20-plus point game he collects. This is a great story that will only continue to become more interesting.

The Knicks are winning and an unlikely hero is their leader. If Tim Tebow is any measure, things are about to get ridiculous, and I am glad we have Twitter to take us there.
