Super Bowl Halftime Show 2012: NFL Hints at Setlist for Madonna's Supershow
For those that missed the news that Madonna was the Super Bowl halftime entertainment, you are the lucky ones.
The aging queen of pop will be running amok on the biggest NFL game of the season, and her set list for the halftime show has been revealed on accident. Sorry, Madonna.
With all of the genuine excitement from football fans over the halftime show (not really), it’s truly a shame that the secret of which songs were going to be played had to come out. It ruined the halftime show for me, I know that much.
While I try to recover from the shock of already knowing what top hits Madonna will knock out of the park, NFL Magazine revealed the following details, which are easily paralleled to Madonna’s songs with the very same names:
""Though Madonna's set list was not officially announced at press time, fans might expect her to give all her luvvin', provide a ray of light and be in vogue with her music."
"
I wish that NFL Magazine didn’t reveal the song names for one, but what made it even worse was having the secret buster described as a terrible anecdote. NFL Magazine should be ashamed.
The only thing getting me through is the fact that Madonna’s co-performers have been inadvertently announced as well.
The Los Angeles Times is reporting that pop stars Nicki Minaj and LMFAO will also be part of the show on Super Bowl Sunday. If you are a 14- to 18-year-old girl, this must be what heaven feels like.
The only hope for the rest of us is that hard rock guitarist Slash will come out and play a vicious solo to save the live show for the majority of fans that couldn’t care less about Madonna or her affinity with “Vogueing.”
Be warned America, I’m sure Madonna has something classless up her sleeve this time around.
