This Is The Los Angeles Galaxy: Yuri Gorentzvaig and Stephen Posa

Brazilliance. A combination of the words Brazil and brilliance, the word evokes images of flair, style and skill typical of one of the pacesetting nations playing world football.
Standing at an imposing 6-foot-2, Yuri Gorentzvaig happens to be part of this phenomenon, having played the game for quite some time. Yuri's blend of Brazilliance and youth will prove vital to the prospects of the Los Angeles Galaxy in 2012.
A native of Sao Paulo, Brazil, the 21-year old began his career at Sao Paulo FC, the same club that saw Juninho and Leonardo develop their talents in MLS.
Yuri Gorentzvaig was selected as the 57th overall selection by the Los Angeles Galaxy in the 2012 MLS Supplemental Draft.
San Diego, truth be told, is a soccer city. One may not believe this, but San Diego actually has a legit soccer team. The catch? It's next door in Tijuana.
But Club Tijuana Xoloitzcuintles de Caliente are familiar with MLS, having played a friendly with the Los Angeles Galaxy in 2011 at Torero Stadium, on the campus of the University of San Diego.
One of those players to hail from USD is a forward by the name of Stephen Posa. A local product, Posa's ability to finish is key to the success of the Galaxy hoisting hardware in 2012.
Stephen Posa was born on August 31, 1990 in San Diego, calif. While Posa did make a splash as a member of youth side PQ Premier, it was his work at Mt. Carmel High that made a bigger impact. Posa was offensive player of the year during his sophomore, junior and senior years and earned All Palomar League during his junior and senior campaigns.
USD was an easy choice for Posa due to the academics and the soccer program, managed by Seamus McFadden. He made an immediate impact with the Toreros, starting 16 of 19 games. For his efforts, Posa was named to the West Coast Conference All-Freshman Team in 2008.
In 2009, once again Posa started 16 of 19 games played and finished with seven points, fourth-best on the team.
In 2010, Posa started all of USD's 19 games and was named to the All-WCC second team. In 2011, Posa was named to the All-WCC second team as well as the NSCAA All-Far West Region Second Team, recordin another seven points on the season.
On Jan. 17, 2012, Stephen Posa was selected as the 62nd overall pick by the Los Angeles Galaxy in the 2012 MLS Supplemental Draft.
