Tom Brady Video: Watch Patriots QB Bury Broncos with TD Pass

Austin GreenJun 6, 2018

This whole Tim Tebow thing has been cute, but apparently Tom Brady has had enough.

Brady performed surgery on the Denver Broncos in the first half of their divisional playoff game, throwing for 246 yards and an NFL-record five touchdowns. The Patriots took a 35-7 lead into halftime, with Brady throwing almost as many touchdowns as incompletions (7).

This season, Brady was overshadowed by Aaron Rodgers, Drew Brees and the Tebow circus out in Denver. He didn't seem to mind flying under the radar, as he quietly put together yet another spectacular year. Brady finished with 5,325 yards and 39 touchdowns in the regular season.

It took less than two minutes for him to pad those numbers in the playoffs. He hit Wes Welker with a seven-yard touchdown strike just one minute and 46 seconds into the game against Denver.

Six minutes later, Brady hit Rob Gronkowski, who made an incredible diving catch in the endzone.

After Brady threw an interception, Denver closed the gap to 14-7. However, their success was short lived.

Brady connected with Gronkowski on another touchdown midway through the second quarter, then crushed Denver's dreams with a couple swift strikes to close out the half.

With two minutes left in the second quarter, he hit Deion Branch with that gorgeous 61-yard pass above. Just over one minute later, he found Gronkowski for the duo's third touchdown hookup on the day.

Tim Tebow came into this game riding a tidal wave of hype. However, after just two quarters, Tom Brady showed why he is still the biggest star in the NFL.
