Georges St-Pierre and the 10 Classiest Fighters in MMA Today

Jeffrey McKinneyJan 8, 2012

When you think of an MMA fighter, you may think of a guy who is violent, aggressive and has a lot of pent-up anger.

Then there are those fighters like UFC welterweight champion Georges St-Pierre, who come off as one of the nicest people in the world.

For the amount of damage some guys do in the cage, they show just as much class and respect outside of it.

Here's a look at some of MMA's most classy fighters.

Mark Munoz

1 of 10

Mark Munoz may fly under some people's radar, but he is one of the nicest guys in the sport.

Munoz has never bad-mouthed any of his opponents and has always remained humble after his fights.

Even when calling out UFC middleweight champ Anderson Silva, Munoz was respectful.

He will have a chance to move one step closer to a title shot if he can get past Chael Sonnen at UFC on FOX 2.

Lyoto Machida

Former UFC light heavyweight champion Lyoto Machida is one of the most respectful guys in the sport.

Machida may not be the most popular fighter in the world thanks to his elusive karate fighting style, but he is one of the most effective.

Machida has faced some of the sport's biggest trash talkers, yet he did not bad-mouth them.

Dan Henderson

At age 41, Dan Henderson can still throw with the best of them.

Henderson is one of the most accomplished fighters in MMA history.

He's also one of the sport's classiest fighters.

Even when Michael Bisping was in his face every week on Season 9 of The Ultimate Fighter, Henderson held his ground and let his fighting do the talking at UFC 100.
