John Morrison News: The Prince of Parkour's First Post-WWE Match Revealed

After more than a month's hiatus from the wrestling world, JoMo has accepted his first booking.

As you may remember, about a month ago Morrison finally addressed his current situation and plans for the future. He basically stated that he was taking some time off to heal and focus on training so he can have a longer career.

Now comes word from wrestlinginc.com that Morrison will be making his return to the ring on February 4th, the article states:

John "Morrison" Hennigan will be replacing Ken Anderson to face Shelton Benjamin on Feb. 4th at a World Wrestling Fan Xperience show at the Smart Arnareta Coliseum in Manilla in The Philippines. It is his first match since leaving WWE. Other names advertised for the event include Carlito, Chris Masters, MVP, Melina, Gene Snitsky and Rhino. This should be a solid match, as both Morrison and Benjamin are solid in-ring workers and should give each other a run for their money. In case you don't live anywhere near The Philippines, you can relive this match from 2009 to see what you may be missing.

For what it's worth, I am glad to see he will be taking some Indy bookings and keeping himself active. As it would be a shame to see him step back in the ring for WWE or TNA and not perform to the level we are used to.

Leading up to and since Morrison's departure, there have been rumors about where JoMo will go when he is ready. According to wrestlinginc.com, Jim Ross feels strongly that Morrison will return to the WWE in a 2012. While other stories suggest if he wants to head to TNA, they are more than ready for him.

In the meantime, the best you can do is hope Morrison takes an Indy booking near you.
