WWE News: Mick Foley Only Reason to Tune in to ABC's Celebrity Wife Swap

Let me preface this article with the disclaimer that I never watch reality shows.

I can’t stand them.

With that said, the idea of Mick Foley on a show called Celebrity Wife Swap is just intriguing enough for me to give it a chance. While I’m sure I will regret the wasted hour I can never get back, the hope is that it will be awkward enough to keep me laughing until it’s over.

The show will premiere on ABC Monday at 9:00 p.m. EST, with Foley's episode scheduled for Tuesday night.

As we have seen from Mick Foley since his days in ECW, his looks and frugal ways with money have led people to believe he is cheap and that of course is fact. He will admit it, no problem.

Foley is comfortable in sweat pants and raises his children in a fun-loving demeanor, but things may get topsy-turvy when Antonio Sabato, Jr. and his wife team up for the wife swap.

In each of the five one-hour episodes, two mothers with very different types of households swap lifestyles and children in a week-long challenge. In the first part of the swap, each mom moves into the other's home and adopts their new celebrity family's lifestyle, no matter how different it may be. They agree to follow a manual written by the departing mother that sets out the rules of their new household – how they parent, manage their social life, do house work, unwind and more.

I’ll admit that I had no idea who Sabato was before I looked him up on Google, but after I did, still don’t know. All the fun that would have been in Flava Flav and Mick Foley traded wives, and all we get is Sabato?

Not cool.

Foley deserves so much better than the hand he was dealt on this show, and the few people that were going to watch are now so angry that they won’t watch.

Am I one of them? You better believe it!
