Air Jordan Concords: Sneak Peak at Jordan's Hottest New Shoe

Adam WellsDec 21, 2011

The Michael Jordan brand is one of the most successful in the world. Jordan is a marketing genius, and Nike has done a fantastic job of keeping it alive even after his playing career ended. His latest shoe, the "Air Jordan Concord," is set to be released on December 23.

One of the best things about the Jordan shoes is that the designs never have the same look. Everyone knows that the sneakers are going to sell if you slap that Jordan logo on them, but the fact that they keep trying to do different things with them is genius.

That sounds obvious, but a lot of companies can get stuck in a pattern when they see that something sells well.

These new shoes don't try to do anything special that we haven't seen before, but there are just subtle differences that make them worth buying for any fan of the Jordan brand.

They are labeled with the retro tag, and that is the best way to describe them. There is a very old-school feeling to the design of the shoe. It is just a simple white shoe with some black mixed in around the edges.

Fans love anything retro, so it is easy to understand why Nike decided to go back to the future with the latest Jordan shoe.

Of course, the downside to having Nike and Jordan working together on a shoe is that if you want to buy it, you have to be willing to drop a lot of money.

These shoes are going to retail at $179.99 when they drop, which is nothing new for people who have bought anything Jordan in the past, but that is still a steep price so close to Christmas.

Unless you have been saving for a late holiday gift for yourself or someone else, you would probably be better off waiting until the start of the year to get the new kicks.
