Kobe Bryant Prenup: Vanessa Bryant Deserves Everything That's Coming to Her

Patrick ClarkeDec 17, 2011

Los Angeles Lakers star, and five-time NBA champion, Kobe Bryant, will soon be significantly less wealthy than he was during the lockout, and he deserves to be.

Bryant and his former wife of 10 years, Vanessa are in the midst of a divorce, and Kobe was too arrogant to sign a prenup, ouch.

But who can really feel sorry for the Black Mamba? After all, the guy has broken so many hearts in the past, mainly those of fans like me who root for the opposition, but still.

Bryant will reel in roughly $25 million alone in 2011-12 for his on-court contributions to the struggling Lakers, who have already lost one famous Hollywood husband, Lamar Odom, thanks to their botched trade efforts.

Don't forget, Bryant also has shoe deals, commercials, sponsors and everything else under the sun that pay him millions on top of millions.

If true, Kobe will be taking home less cake than Pau Gasol and Andrew Bynum.

But the reality is that Vanessa Bryant has been putting up with Kobe for a decade, and even stood by him through the 2003 sexual assault charges, so needless to say, she has been every bit the champ Kobe's been since 2001.

The two were married at relatively young ages and it now seems the marriage was a wise business decision on Vanessa's part.

No one will feel sorry for Kobe, who has been accused of cheating time and again, and I'm not referring to basketball.

His bills are still getting paid and he's living the good life like nearly every other professional athlete in America.

Vanessa Bryant deserves the icing to Kobe's career cake, and it looks like she'll get just that in this divorce.
