College Football Recruiting 2012: Top Schools for the Top 5 Uncommited Recruits

Randy ChambersDec 14, 2011

With the regular season coming to a close and bowl games only left to play, these next few months will be focused on recruiting. Where will some of the top players in the country end up, and which teams will fill their needs with future stars?

There are only a couple of months left till national signing day and still a ton of top players that just can't decide where they want to play football. Players are still visiting and listening to coaches on why they should join their school.

Here are five of the top players that have not decided yet and the schools they are considering.

WR Stefon Diggs

1 of 5

Schools he's still considering: Auburn, Florida, California, Maryland, Michigan, Oklahoma, USC and Virginia.

The best way to describe Diggs is that he's an athlete. He has fantastic field vision and speed that very few people can match. He could play either wide receiver or running back. With his speed, he'll likely be used in special teams as well. Many thought Florida was the favorite, but with Charlie Weis gone, things may have changed

S Landon Collins

2 of 5

Schools he's still considering: LSU, Tennessee, Alabama, Florida and Texas

Collins is the No. 2 safety according to Rivals.com, and he is expected to make his decision at the Under Armour All-America Game. He's already had visits with Alabama, LSU and recently Texas. You have to consider the Tigers the favorite considering he lives right down the street from them.

With the way he loves to blitz and make plays attacking the football, he could be another Tyrann Mathieu for Les Miles.

DT Eddie Goldman

3 of 5

Schools he's still considering: Florida State, Miami, Auburn, Alabama and California

Goldman is the best defensive tackle in the country and is a 5-star recruit on every site. He is extremely interested in Florida State, but grew up a Miami Hurricanes fan. He said that, despite the ongoing issues Miami is going through, they are still a very strong possibility.

At 6'4", 315 pounds, he has great size and is extremely quick off the ball.

DE Noah Spence

4 of 5

Schools he's still considering: Maryland, LSU, Ohio State, Florida and Penn State

Penn State was the favorite, but after what happened recently with the sex scandal, things may have changed. Spence is an athletic pass rusher that has a bunch of different moves he can use to get to the quarterback. With Urban Meyer at Ohio State, I wouldn't be surprised if he becomes a Buckeye sooner than later.

WR Dorial Green-Beckham

5 of 5

Schools he's still considering: Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Alabama and Missouri

Green-Beckham a an extremely special prospect because he has everything you look for in a wide receiver. He can be physical and out-muscle defenders, but he can also turn short passes into big plays. What makes him even scarier is the fact that he's 6'6" and 220 pounds. Imagine trying to cover that.

He's already visited all of his options and has left us with no clues on where he's going.
