Jerry Sandusky Hearing Video: Watch Lawyer Dispute Mike McQueary's Credibility
Jerry Sandusky may have had the most eventful two-minute preliminary hearing ever. Instead of sitting in a courtroom and listening to all his accusers testify, he waived the hearing and will go to trial with his arraignment being set for January 11.
Now that this part of the journey is over with, Sandusky and his lawyer, Joe Amendola, are preparing their defense to try and clear his name of all the charges that have been brought against him.
Shortly after the preliminary hearing ended, Amendola spoke to reporters about where things are going to go from here and he brought up the name of Mike McQueary, whose testimony to a grand jury is being called into question in light of recent reports.
McQueary originally told the grand jury that he saw Sandusky molesting a young boy and alerted Joe Paterno of the situation.
Shortly after that was made public, McQueary wrote an e-mail stating that he notified police about what he saw and that he made sure it was taken care of.
Then, just two days ago, a third version of McQueary's story came out in a report from Sara Granim of the Patriot News:
"According to the source with knowledge of Dranov’s testimony before the grand jury, it went like this:
McQueary heard "sex sounds" and the shower running, and a young boy stuck his head around the corner of the shower stall, peering at McQueary as an adult arm reached around his waist and pulled him back out of view.
Seconds later, Sandusky left the shower in a towel.
"
The point of all this being that McQueary's testimony has enough holes in it for a bad lawyer to poke at.
McQueary's credibility should be called into question by Amendola. It will be interesting to see how this all plays out in court.
