Michael Jordan's Future Neighbors Want His Airness to Fly Away

Andrew KulhaDec 11, 2011

Michael Jordan is considered the greatest NBA basketball player of all time and he is known all across the world, but apparently his new neighbors could care less about any of that.

"His Airness," as he is commonly referred to, is in the process of building himself an immense 37,000 square-foot house in Jupiter, Florida (not to be confused with Jupiter the planet).

Now, when you are the best ever at anything in life, it does entitle you to some things that other people usually don't enjoy.

Whether it's the adoration and respect of the masses, constant attention, gratification or, yes, "butt kissing." These are all the perks of being famous.

Take those perks and triple them, and now you loosely know what "Air Jordan" enjoys on a daily basis.

Like I said though, apparently his soon-to-be neighbors aren't too thrilled about Jordan moving into their neighborhood.

Jose Lambiet of gossipextra.com cites his source inside The Bears Club to report on the trouble in Jordan's paradise:

"

“I don’t know which is worse,” the source said. “The half-smoked cigars in the grass or the fact he rarely plays without a posse. I’ve seen him out there with 10 people and they’re hooting and hollering. The point of living in this place is that it’s quiet. The residents are seething but there isn’t much they can do about it.

Said Estee Portnoy, Jordan’s spokeswoman: “I’m sure that’s one man’s opinion. Michael is a true gentleman. He is looking forward to being a resident of the The Bears Club and abiding by the rules. Tell the residents not to worry!”

"

As a sports fan and an avid watcher of the NBA I would personally pick up after Jordan just to say that I did, but then again not everybody see's the world through the eyes of a sports nut.

Objectively, I can see how this would be a problem for MJ's future community, especially when the whole premise of the club is exclusivity.

Jordan himself does have those rights as well though, so unless there is a rule about having your friends come along with you for a round of golf, I don't see why there is much of a problem.

Jordan can do no wrong in my book, and even if he could, a nice pair of sneakers would go a long way towards changing my tone with him real fast...

Enjoy your new home, Mr. Jordan. Just try to keep the noise down okay?
