Shaq TNT Video: Watch NBA's Christmas Day Preview Featuring the Big Diesel

David DanielsDec 4, 2011

NBA fans will be receiving a 7'1", 325-pound present this Christmas.

When Shaquille O’Neal is in front of a microphone, magic happens. If you thought one think-before-you-speak failure in Charles Barkley made Inside the NBA the most entertaining sports talk show on the planet, you’re in for a big surprise—literally. O’Neal couldn’t possibly care less about how people react to what he says and for that reason, TNT’s and even professional basketball’s ratings will skyrocket.

Just as an example, scratch that, examples of the power of Shaq’s mouth, here's a few bold statements he’s made since just the beginning of November:

In his book, “Shaq Uncut,” he dissed a number of players and coaches including Pat Riley. The Big Shaqtus also took a subtle stab at Nate Robinson, but he threw a haymaker at Chris Bosh saying (via The Palm Beach Post):

"

Some guys come into the league without a ton of props, so there’s not a whole lot of pressure on them. Then they sign a big deal and all of a sudden they’re thrown into the spotlight. Chris Bosh is like that. He’s getting all this attention, so he starts believing he’s really good. C’mon now. We know better. He’s a player who can put up some numbers, but he’s not an elite player. He was in Toronto eight years and they were never a factor, never a playoff team. Don’t get with those other two guys and start pounding your chest. I ain’t buying it, and I’m not the only one.

"

Since then Shaq has also attempted to set up a UFC fight between him and Jose Canseco as well as managed to call Rajon Rondo a better point guard than Chris Paul. See what I mean? O’Neal is going to be blasting out newsworthy quotes at an even faster rate than he did as a player.

I don’t know what I’m anticipating more: Mavericks vs. Heat, Lakers vs. Bulls, Celtics vs. Knicks or Shaq vs. Charles (Round 2).
