NBA Rumors: Latest Free-Agent and Trade Talk Around the League
As the NBA free agency period rapidly approaches, several key names are being rumored to be signing or traded to different destinations.
Let's take a look at today's latest rumors.
Chris Paul: His agent, Leon Rose, claims he didn't make a trade demand for his client to be dealt to the Knicks, but while the Hornets are listening to offers, they still hope to sign the guard to a contract extension. Paul looks to remain in New Orleans for the time being.
Chris Kaman: It looks as if the big man is being talked about in a deal to Detroit that involves Tayshaun Prince.
Dwight Howard: We've seen a couple of teams linked to Howard this week, including the New Jersey Nets, and while any deal not involving Howard to the Lakers seems unrealistic, ESPN's Marc Stein reported that Howard could be dealt before the season.
Marc Gasol: All things point to him re-signing in Memphis.
Nene: The Nets look to be the team pursuing Nene the strongest, but Indiana and Houston are also pursuing the free agent very aggressively.
Caron Butler: Butler has listed the Los Angeles Clippers and Chicago Bulls as his top two destinations, but he hasn't ruled out a return to Dallas.
Arron Afflalo: Afflalo is very high on the wish list of both the Bulls and Lakers and could be the most sought-after free agent after the available big guys are off the market.
Chuck Hayes: Hayes will weigh offers from four different teams, but his top priority is a return to Houston.
