NBA Trade Rumors: Players That Will Be the Hardest to Make a Deal For
When talking about trading NBA stars, it's not as simple as saying Chris Paul is going to the Knicks or Dwight Howard is going to the Lakers.
Current salaries often make deals involving the game's top stars incredibly difficult to pull off. It's often much easier to pull off a sign-and-trade when a player's deal is up than it is to trade a star during the season.
Here are some of the NBA's toughest player's to trade.
1. Paul: He's made it known he wants to play in New York, but that likely won't happen until 2012. Most likely, no other team will attempt to acquire him unless he signs an extension, something he likely won't do.
2. Howard: Very similar situation. Of course every team would love to have Howard, but no team would offer up a huge package for a guy that they can't sign to an extension. He will remain in Orlando until 2012.
3. Rashard Lewis: There will be a couple of members of the Magic on this list, now for a former Orlando member. Lewis is unmarketable because of his insane contract. He is a likely victim of an amnesty cut because of it though.
4. Gilbert Arenas: If the Magic don't use their amnesty clause on Arenas, they are stuck with him. He's another with an insane deal and this time they they won't be able to swap the bad contract of Lewis.
5. Elton Brand: Brand's name hits the trade block every year, but the Sixers have never been able to move him. He's often hurt and has a horrible contract. Who wants to touch that?
