BCS Rankings 2011: Predicting a Week 14 Win or Loss for Every BCS Top 25 Team

The final week of the college football regular season brings a lot of games that will determine who will make a BCS bowl game and potentially who will crash the BCS championship game.  

There isn’t a full slate of games this week, as a lot of the Top 25 is idle. However, there are a lot of great games between Top 25 teams playing for their conference championship.  

A game like No. 16 Wisconsin vs. No. 14 Michigan State features two evenly matched teams with a birth in this year’s Rose Bowl game in the balance. These two teams are very evenly matched up and will provide a great game in the first ever Big Ten championship game.  

That game, plus No. 9 Oklahoma vs. No. 4 Oklahoma State, No. 13 Georgia vs. No. 1 LSU and No. 25 Texas vs. No. 18 Baylor highlight games with teams fighting for position inside of their conference or a BCS bowl birth.  

It’s going to be a crazy week seeing who improves their position and who falls in the last BCS Standings. This is one of the most important weeks for these teams in the Top 25. These teams cannot afford to lose this week, and risk missing playing in a big bowl game.

8	Houston	Win vs. Southern Miss in Conference USA game as Cougars offense will not be stopped.
9	Oklahoma	Loss vs. Oklahoma State as OU is dealing with too many injuries.
10	Oregon	Win vs. UCLA in Pac-12 Championship game as Bruins are no match for Ducks offense.
11	Kansas State	Win vs. Iowa State as KSU offense will crush an Iowa State defense that is giving up 30 points per game.
12	South Carolina	Idle
13	Georgia	Loss vs. LSU in SEC title game. UGA defense will have no answers for LSU rushing game.
14	Michigan State	Loss vs. Wisconsin in Big Ten title game. Badgers RB Montee Ball will not be stopped in title game.
15	Michigan	Idle
16	Wisconsin	Win vs. Michigan State in Big Ten title game. Badgers defense will not allow MSU to convert 8/16 3rd downs this time around.
17	Clemson	Loss vs. Va. Tech in ACC Title game. Clemson defense is playing too poorly now giving up 30 plus points in last two games.
18	Baylor	Win vs. Texas. Baylor offense is on fire last two weeks scoring 45 and 66 points.
19	Penn State	Idle
20	TCU	Win vs. UNLV as Running Rebels coming into this game ranked 117th and 119th in points scored and given up per game.
21	Nebraska	Idle
22	Notre Dame	Idle
23	Georgia Tech	Idle
24	Auburn	Idle
25	Texas	Loss vs. Baylor as Longhorns offense will not be able to keep up with Baylor’s scoring.
