Urban Meyer: New Ohio State Coach Would Continue Dominating Michigan

Ohio State has won seven straight games over the rival Michigan Wolverines, and former Florida coach Urban Meyer would be the perfect man to lead the Buckeyes to another decade of dominance over their Big Ten rival.

Meyer will be able to recruit better than anyone in the Big Ten Conference, which will not only allow the Buckeyes to beat Michigan year after year but it will also allow Ohio State to compete for the BCS National Championship again.

During his time at Florida, Meyer fared very well against the Gators' biggest rivals.

Against Georgia, Meyer's Gators were 5-1, and against Florida State, the Gators were 5-1. He knows how to motivate his players for the most important games of the season, which are typically rivalry games.

At Ohio State, one of the top goals—if not the top goal—is to beat Michigan every season. It is arguably the best rivalry in college sports, not just football.

Meyer is a great X's and O's coach, but he is an even better players' coach. Kids want to play for him because he is a leader.

Meyer also helps many players become NFL-caliber talents. At Florida he helped many of his players improve to the level of first-round picks, such as Tim Tebow, Joe Haden, Carlos Dunlap and the Pouncey twins, Maurkice and Mike.

The Wolverines would not be able to compete with Meyer in recruiting. The prestige of playing for Ohio State and an awesome coach such as Meyer would be too much for a lot of kids to turn down, despite the NCAA violations issues the Buckeyes are dealing with.

Meyer would continue the Buckeyes' dominance over Michigan and take the football program back to an elite level, making him the perfect man for the job in Columbus.
