Houston vs. Tulsa: TV Schedule, Live Stream, Radio, Game Time and More
The Houston Cougars are grabbing all the headlines when it comes to non-BCS conference teams, but the Tulsa Golden Flash deserve a little credit as well.
Tulsa started the season 1-3 because they played Oklahoma, Oklahoma State and Boise State.
They've since rattled off seven straight wins and will take on their fourth Top Eight team in Houston this week.
The Cougars, meanwhile, have a stat machine at quarterback but haven't played a ranked opponent yet this year.
It is time for the Cougars to be tested.

Key Storyline: Conference USA Title Hopes
Both teams come into this game unbeaten in the conference. They both happen to play in the same division though and this game is for a likely shot at Southern Miss in the title game.
Houston has all the flash of a big-name quarterback and gaudy statistics but Tulsa can hold their own.
Southern Miss is far and away the best team in their division, but they were just knocked off by lowly UAB.
This game might as well be the de facto conference title game.
Who Might Not Play for Houston

Damaris Johnson, WR: Out for year
Willie Carter, RB: Questionable
Tyrunn Walker, DL: Questionable
BCS/Top 25 Implications
Huge. A win for Houston should give them a legitimate shot at a BSC bowl. As previously stated, they'll likely need a win over Southern Miss, but Tulsa is the tougher opponent right now.
Should Houston win they could move even higher in the polls. A loss will send them stumbling pretty far and launch Tulsa into the rankings.
What They're Saying
The Houston Chronicle reported that the Cougars are in the Top 10 for the first time in 21 years and what this game with Tulsa means:
"UH is now No. 8 in the BCS rankings, up from No. 11 last week. The Cougars’ BCS average is .6684. This is the highest the Cougars (11-0) have been ranked in the BCS ... With TCU’s win over Colorado State on Saturday, the Horned Frogs have assured that Boise State can’t win the Mountain West Conference outright, which means UH assuredly controls its own destiny in the BCS rankings if the Cougars continue to win. UH is 11-0 for the first time in school history and has a road date with Tulsa at 11 a.m. on Friday to close out the regular season.
The winner will win the C-USA West Division title and the right to host the C-USA championship game.
"
Houston Player To Watch: Case Keenum, QB
His numbers are absolutely ridiculous. Keenum, in his sixth year due to a medical redshirt, is completing 73.4 percent of his passes. As if completing three of every four throws isn't enough, Keenum has thrown 38 touchdown passes and only three interceptions.
The Cougar offense has scored 73 total touchdowns this season.
Tulsa Player To Watch: G.J. Kinne, QB
Tulsa has a quarterback of their own to be excited about. Kinne has been great the past three years and has a 24-10 touchdown-to-interception ratio to boast this year.
The senior has 77 career touchdowns passes to only 30 interceptions. He's not a burner, but he can make plays on the ground as well. He's rushed for 361 yards this season and three touchdowns.
His offense, 19th in the nation in points scored, has scored 47 total touchdowns this season
Key Matchup: Keenum vs. Kinne
This game comes down to which quarterback can carry his team farther. Tulsa is 19th in scoring but have scored 26 fewer touchdowns than Keenum's team.
If Kinne can keep pace with Keenum, and control the ball to keep Keenum off the field, Tulsa will have a legit shot to win.
Prediction: Tulsa 48, Houston 45
