BCS Rankings: The Biggest Winners from Saturday's Slate of Games
There will be major changes in the BCS standings this week after six ranked teams, including two in the top five, fell on Saturday.
With all those losses, plenty of BCS doors have been opened. These three teams will benefit the most from Saturday's chaos.
No. 6 Oklahoma Sooners
The Sooners didn't even play in Week 11, but they are the prime benefactor of its results.
It seemed impossible just three weeks ago, but the Sooners are now in perfect position to make the national championship game.
The title path cleared for Oklahoma rather quickly. Stanford and Boise State are now out of the way, and no one wants to see a rematch with LSU, so that rules out Alabama and Oregon.
If Oklahoma can beat No. 25 Baylor next week, and Iowa State after that, it will set up a showdown with No. 2 Oklahoma State in the regular season finale.
The winner of that game will likely take on LSU for the BCS championship.
No. 8 Arkansas Razorbacks
Arkansas might be the least talked about 9-1 team in SEC history.
They're overshadowed by LSU and Alabama, but the Razorbacks have a legitimate shot of playing for the national title.
Arkansas has beaten three ranked opponents and won six games in a row. If they can somehow upset the Tigers to end the season, they will definitely appear in the BCS championship game.
No. 9 Clemson Tigers
I've been on the Clemson bandwagon all season, even after their 31-17 loss to Georgia Tech last month.
They've got an explosive offense led by Tajh Boyd, one of the best quarterbacks in college football. Boyd has 3,027 passing yards (9th in nation) and 27 touchdowns (t-8th in nation) this season.
If he can lead them to victory over No. 13 South Carolina in two weeks, the Tigers will have an 11-1 record with four wins against ranked opponents.
Not many teams can boast a better BCS resume than that.
