Biggest Bonehead Plays from College Football's Week 11
Like any other week of the college football season, Week 11 not only featured its share of highlight reel plays, but also its share of bonehead plays as well.
In most of these cases, but not all, the bonehead play in question had a direct impact on the result of a game.
Here is a look at some of the most boneheaded moments of Week 11.
LSU's Jordan Jefferson Loses His Head
1 of 6The No.1 team in the nation isn't supposed to feel much pressure from the likes of WKU and the scoreboard suggests that LSU didn't
However, in this case, Tigers quarterback Jordan Jefferson feels some heat and loses his mind.
Andrew Luck Burned
2 of 6Heisman Trophy candidates usually make more plays than not, but Andrew Luck is burned early in stanford's big game against Oregon trying to throw back across the field off his back foot.
Texas Tech Botches Kick Return Against Oklahoma State
3 of 6Who kidnapped the Red Raiders and swapped them with these guys after they beat Oklahoma?
Looking at this Texas Tech team the past three weeks, there is no way they could have even competed with the Sooners, yet go on the road and beat them.
Wonder why they've been awful since that night? Here is a big reason.
Miami's Travis Benjamin, Special Teams Doom Canes
4 of 6One of the best returners in the nation, the Canes Travis Benjamin looks like a freshman (in high school) here instead of the senior that he is.
Think of everything you can do wrong on a punt return and Benjamin does.
What hurts more is that Miami lost to the Seminoles by four, so Benjamin sure wishes he had this play back.
If that's not enough, moments later Florida State's Greg Reid returned a punt for a score by running straight down the field, not having to make a single move.
Even worse was, late in the game after a Mimai touchdown, holder Spencer Whpple drops the snap that could have pulled the Canes within a field goal.
Needless to say, the Hurricanes special teams weren't so special on Saturday.
Bearcats Zach Collaros Suffers Injury on Big Play
5 of 6I'm not making light of the injury to the Cincinnati quarterback, but the subsequent flip over his head was brutal.
Boise State Pays TCU Back
6 of 6After taking a late fourth quarter lead, TCU committed a boneheaded penalty to seemingly set Boise State up for another win.
Seconds later, Boise State says thanks, but no thanks.
Even a kicker that has had only three field goal attempts all season can make a chip shot from straight on. Right?
Not even close.
