Bowl Projections: Predicting the Peak Matchups for All the BCS Bowls
We may only be entering Week 10 of the college football season, but it's never too late to project the bowl games. The college football bowl season is one of the best postseason events in all of sports and provides 35 great matchups from the middle of December to the beginning of January.
The most important bowl games of them all are the BCS bowl games, which consist of five bowl games: Orange, Sugar, Rose, Fiesta and, of course, the National Championship.
Here are the best possible matchups for each of the BCS bowl games and the most likely scenarios.

Rose Bowl: Stanford Cardinal vs Nebraska Cornhuskers
1 of 5Best possible: Wisconsin Badgers vs Oregon Ducks
Most likely to happen: Stanford Cardinal vs Nebraska Cornhuskers
A Wisconsin-Oregon Rose Bowl would have been incredible and a ton of scoring, but since the Badgers have lost two games in a row, I no longer like their chances of winning the Big Ten. Nebraska now has to be the favorite, and I believe Stanford will win the Pac-12.
A Stanford-Nebraska matchup will provide the best quarterbacks in the country in Andrew Luck against one of the worst in Taylor Martinez.
Fiesta Bowl: Oklahoma Sooners vs Oregon Ducks
2 of 5Best possible: Oklahoma Sooners vs Oregon Ducks
Most likely to happen: Oklahoma Sooners vs Oregon Ducks
Oklahoma will likely win the Big 12, and Oregon should get in off a BCS automatic bid.
This will be a great matchup that will feature two explosive offensives. The only thing that I fear is Oregon going up against a physical defense in Oklahoma, and we all know how the Ducks fare in those games.
If this game does take place, it would probably be the best bowl game next to the BCS National Championship.
Sugar Bowl: LSU Tigers vs Boise State Broncos
3 of 5Best possible: LSU Tigers vs Boise State Broncos
Most likely to happen: LSU Tigers vs Boise State Broncos
Of course you can't leave the Broncos out of a BCS bowl game if they run the table and the Tigers would be the SEC runner -.
This would be an extremely difficult test for Boise State and an opportunity to prove to the college football world they can play with the big boys. Boise has yet to see a defense like the Tigers, and it will be interesting to see if their flashy style of play can get the job done.
This would be a matchup that I would watch.
Orange Bowl: Clemson Tigers vs West Virginia Mountaineers
4 of 5Best possible: Clemson Tigers vs West Virginia Mountaineers
Most likely to happen: Clemson Tigers vs West Virginia Mountaineers
Despite the recent struggles from both teams, they both are the best teams their conference has to offer, and it would be hard to keep them out.
This should be another high scoring game as both teams have SEC speed especially on offense. Two underrated quarterbacks will go at it in Tajh Boyd and Geno Smith.
Both of these teams may be criticized from the lack of competition in their conference, but this should make for an entertaining bowl game.
National Championship: Alabama Crimson Tide vs Oklahoma State Cowboys
5 of 5Best possible: Alabama Crimson Tide vs Oklahoma State Cowboys
Most likely to happen: Alabama Crimson Tide vs Oklahoma State Cowboys
If both of these teams keep playing the way they're playing and continue to run the table, they'll meet in the biggest bowl game of them all.
You put Oklahoma States offense that averages 50 points a game against Alabama's defense that gives up seven points, what will happen? I'm interested to find out as well.
Right now this looks like the best game of the bowl season and could be a instant classic once it's over with.
