College Football Predictions: 3 Players Who Will Save Their Coaches' Jobs
This year's college football season has been filled with upsets. Also, some teams are underachieving and many of their fans are disappointed.
Due to the upsets and the underachieving teams, many coaches could be on the hot seat, especially if they can't turn the season around.
Here are three players that can help save their coaches jobs for this year.
E.J. Manuel and Jimbo Fisher
1 of 3This year was supposed to be the Seminoles' return to glory.
Instead, it has become another disappointing season for Florida State as they are trying to just get into the ACC Championship Game.
Jimbo Fisher announced before the year started that this is "our time." So far, it seems to be everybody's time except the Seminoles'.
Quarterback E.J. Manuel can help bail out Coach Fisher if he can rally the Seminoles and win the remaining games on their schedule. If it plays out right, they have a distant shot at making it to the ACC Championship Game and maybe even a BCS bowl game.
Aaron Murray and Mark Richt
2 of 3Mark Richt is a solid coach, but the Georgia faithful are growing impatient.
They have had talented teams during the Mark Richt era, but they have not caught a break. Georgia just had a huge win over rival Florida, which could help out Mark Richt.
Quarterback Aaron Murray has been developing very nicely over the past year-and-a-half and has a bright future. If Murray can continue to play solid ball for the bulldogs, he might be able to help keep Richt around for a few more years.
Richard Brehaut and Rick Neuheisel
3 of 3The UCLA Bruins are sitting at 4-4 and are tied for second place in the Pac-12 South standings.
Rick Neuheisel is having a tough year with the Bruins, though, and fans are getting restless. They lost an upsetting game to a 2-6 Arizona team.
They have a good quarterback in Richard Brehaut, and if he and the rest of the Bruins offense can start clicking the rest of the season, they could make a nice little run to get into a solid bowl game.
