Rangers vs. Cardinals: World Series TV Schedule, Live Stream, Game Time and More
The St. Louis Cardinals are a team reminiscent of the 2010 World Champion San Francisco Giants.
So it seems only fitting that they knocked off the Milwaukee Brewers in the NLCS on Sunday, setting up a World Series with the team that faced the Giants for the title last season, the Texas Rangers.
The Cardinals weren't even suppose to be a wild-card team this season, but they won 16 of their last 21 games to grab the wild-card spot from the Atlanta Braves and have since ended the seasons of the Brewers and the Philadelphia Phillies.

The Rangers, however, belong here, too. They won three straight games against a red hot Tampa Bay Rays team in the AL divisional playoffs and just sent home a strong Detroit Tigers squad.
The Cardinals are looking for their first World Series title since 2006.

The Cardinals have home-field advantage in the series, but it's not like they've been considerably better at home than on the road this season.
In fact, the Cardinals had an identical record at home and on the road this season, holding 45-36 marks.
The Rangers weren't bad on the road, either, holding a 44-37 mark. But they also had a 52-29 record at home this season. If they can pull off a win in St. Louis to start the series, they could put a lot of pressure on the Cardinals.
Headed into Game 5 on Sunday, the Cardinals had a 3.99 ERA as a team and a 2.55 bullpen ERA in the postseason. The Rangers have a 4.11 ERA this postseason and a 2.34 bullpen ERA, guided by midseason acquisition Mike Adams.
The Rangers are the superior offensive ball club as a whole, but Albert Pujols and the Cardinals showed this postseason that they can put up some crooked numbers as well, actually scoring more runs than the Rangers.
This is shaping up to be a very good matchup, complete with a dominant American League team and a National League team that has come to life at exactly the right moment, sort of like the Giants last season.
Prediction:
I'm tempted to go with the Cardinals given what the Giants did last season, but I think the Rangers' improved bullpen will be the difference this season.
I also think the experience of being in the World Series last season will give the Rangers a big advantage.
