BCS Rankings 2011: Why Wisconsin Badgers Got Screwed
By now, all the Wisconsin Badger fans have yelled the same thing at their televisions: “Sixth! What the hell?!”
It’s OK to do it if you still haven’t. You guys got screwed and here’s why.
This season, Wisconsin has been probably the most impressive team in college football. They’ve dominated everyone who has had the misfortune of playing them and no one has gotten within 31 points of them.
Russell Wilson has given them a brand new dimension to their offense. That offense has been dominant for years now with a powerful brand of physical running.
They are in a BCS conference that is considered to be very good and yet are behind Boise State.
They now have the opportunity to go undefeated and be left out of the national championship game. Their fate is no longer in their hands.
They have been the most dominant team all season. They can run the ball, pass the ball and defend the ball. What more does the BCS need?!
Computers may not like the Badgers, but the computers don’t watch football. How and why should they be depended upon to accurately rank a sport that is so difficult to understand?
Get mad and stay mad, Badgers, because you’ll need to play like mad to make the BCS championship game.
