Week 7 College Football Predictions: Predicting the Biggest Blowouts on Saturday

Randy ChambersOct 13, 2011

While Week 7 of the college football season has a lot of marquee matchups, there are a few ranked teams that will blow the other team out of the water.

There is nothing worse than getting excited for a big game, expecting a game to come down to the wire and then it being a blowout. There is really no other good game on the television and you're stuck watching this massacre for another two hours.

Have no fear because in this article I will break down the few games that will be a blowout and try my best to save three hours of your life.

Here are the biggest blowouts in Week 7 of the college football season.

LSU at Tennessee

1 of 5

This game didn't look good for the Volunteers anyway but now, with their best wide receiver Justin Hunter and their starting quarterback out, this will be a blowout.

It was going to be difficult for the Vols to stand a chance against the Tigers defense considering they only do one thing well. It's almost impossible to be so one dimensional against a great defense like the one LSU has.

Tennessee's running game only averages 84 yards a game and it wouldn't surprise me if they rush for negative yards in this one.

LSU wins: 48-10

Oklahoma at Kansas

2 of 5

Oklahoma State beat this Kansas team 70-28 last week and you can expect much of the same this week.

The Jayhawks have the worst defense in all of college football, giving up an inexcusable 49 points per game. That's not good news when you have a Sooner team that's on fire, averaging 45 points per contest with a defense that only gives up 15 points.

Looking at the numbers, the starters for Oklahoma may be able to come out after the first quarter.

Oklahoma wins: 68-3

Indiana at Wisconsin

3 of 5

Indiana is a bad 1-5 football team that allowed Virginia to drop 34 points on them. So, when a hot Wisconsin team that averages 48 points per game comes in you can expect a major blowout.

The Badgers offense right now looks unstoppable and a defense that gives up 10 points per game isn't too shabby either.

Wisconsin will improve to 6-0 heading into the big matchup against Michigan State next weekend.

Wisconsin wins: 65-10

Alabama at Ole Miss

4 of 5

The Rebels have one of the worst offenses in the country. This team is bad at everything, as they run the ball just over 100 yards a game and pass for 158. Not like it matters when the Crimson Tide come to town and bring in a defense that gives up one touchdown per contest.

I'll say that Ole Miss won't score at all and will be lucky to get more than four first downs in this game.

Alabama wins: 54-0

Boise State at Colorado State

5 of 5

The Boise State Broncos have a ton of experience beating up on cupcakes and this game will be no different.

The Rams lost to San Jose State last week. Does this game need any more explanation? Look for Kellen Moore and company to go up and down the field in this game and end this game by halftime.

Boise State wins: 52-10
