2011 NBA Mock Draft: Who Is Next After Kyrie Irving?
Okay, were now sure that most of the sports world knows that Kyrie Irving of Duke is heading for the top spot in this years draft.
But what after him? Will the projected order go as planned?
Doubt it.
Sometimes a player falls down the boards for faults not his own.
Logically it does not make sense for a team to pick up a player that either does not fit their personnel or chemistry.
With a weak draft class and a team that holds two of the first four picks— expect anything. This short slideshow will provide my analysis on what should happen Thursday evening during the 2011 NBA draft.
2. Enes Kanter: Timberwolves
1 of 4Picking up the 6 foot 11 center makes sense.
Why?
Already having Kevin Love scoring 20 points a game, the Turkish talent would do wonders for a better Timberwolves post presence. Huh? You forgot they had Michael Beasley too?
Yeah, now picture a lineup with Beasley, Kanter and Kevin Love. All Inside.
In many most Americanized sports, the game is usually won with the dirty work. With these three down low, expect for a better shot into the top 5 in the Western Conference.
Other Options:
-Derrick Williams being chosen here. Drafting Williams will bring an injustice to what Kevin Love is building. If this DOES happen, someone has got to go. It will be hard bringing in another forward in this offense.
-Trading Kevin Love and the number 2 pick would be a silly move on the part of the Timberwolves administration. Pau Gasol has championships, but his inconsistent play keeps prospective teams astray.

3. Brandon Williams: Utah Jazz
2 of 4The Utah Jazz would be fools to pass up on the Kentucky freshman.
During last season at Kentucky , Knight averaged over 17.3 points per game shooting 42.3 percentage from the field en route to a SEC tournament championship. Knight is a speedster who uses his quickness to get to goal. Only thing he must work on is toughness.
If drafted, Knight will be entering Utah following a historic legacy of John Stockton and Derron Williams.
"What you determine ... is he willing to try and make everyone on the team better, rather than make himself better?" Jazz general manager Kevin O'Connor said of Knight, "And if you've got enough quickness and you've got enough athleticism and you can handle the ball well enough, then you can be a point guard."
Picking this guy up at number three makes sense.
4. Trade of Pick: Cleveland Cavaliers
3 of 4Keeping quiet this entire time about the number 4 pick, expect the Cavs to trade up for a player who can contribute immediately.
With 14.5 million in trade exception, look for them to exercise this option.
Why does this make sense?
It's called bargaining. First you take the number 1 pick, trade for the 4, get an impact player and then scoop up two players in the second round for a cheaper price.
Look for the Cavaliers to make a splash in the NBA Draft Thursday.
5. Kemba Walker: Toronto Raptors
4 of 4It's a feel good story for Kemba Walker.
After leading the UConn Huskies to their third national championship, walker decided to enter the NBA draft hoping for a long and prosperous career.
Arguably one of the fastest players in college basketball, Walker possesses terrific quickness and ball-handling ability to give defenses fits.
Walker will be coming into a Toronto Rapter team that finished the season at 22-60. Yes, I said it correctly—Sixty.
Other Options:
If Walker isnt available. Take Williams.
