Missouri Football: 7 Bold Predictions for T. J. Moe's Season

Bill RobbinsJun 12, 2011

In 2010, Moe was awarded with a Second-Team All-Big 12 selection for his excellent season.

If he gets 1,200 receiving yards this season, it would make him a first-team pick in most conferences around the nation.

However, most conferences will not have the likes of Oklahoma's Ryan Broyles and Oklahoma State's Justin Blackmon on their respective teams this season.

Moe should be a second-time All-Big 12 receiver for the second straight season in '11.

T.J. Moe Will Have at Least 90 Receptions

Last season, Moe picked up 92 receptions, and I expect a similar production number this year.

He will have a new QB in James Franklin who will not pass as much as former teammate Blaine Gabbert, but Moe should get plenty of balls thrown to him throughout the year.

He is the Tigers' best returning receiver and knows how to get open down the field.

Expect Moe to lead Missouri in receptions once again this season.

T.J Moe Will Have at Least 1,100 Receiving Yards

If he were to get 1,100 receiving yards this year, it will only be a 55-yard increase from his breakout season with the Tigers in '10.

This is not a far stretch of the imagination, considering the talents of one T.J. Moe.

His ability to break tackles after the catch is a big reason why he averaged over 11 yards per reception last season and should continue this for Missouri in the fall.

I predict that Moe will finish third overall in the Big 12 for receiving yards for the season, behind OU's Ryan Broyles and OSU's Justin Blackmon.

T.J. Moe Will Have Get at Least Six Total TDs

Moe showed the ability to get in the end zone last season, as he led Missouri's receiving corps with six touchdowns for the year.

Everyone in the Big 12 knows by now how much of a receiving threat T.J. Moe can be, but he is also a weapon in the ground game as well.

Moe showed this when he rushed for 81 yards on just 12 carries in '10, including a rushing touchdown.

Look for him to be well incorporated into Missouri's offense once again, both as a receiver and as a running back.

Last season, Moe turned in four games of 100 receiving yards or more.

He also had three other games where he was within 20 yards of the century mark as well.

With another year of experience, Moe should be an ever better receiver in this season.

I look for him to pick up more 100-yard receiving games in 2011.

T. J. Moe Will Have Another Game-Winning Touchdown

Moe turned in one of the most thrilling offensive players in the history of Missouri's football program last season.

In a game where Missouri was trailing by four, he took a pass from then-MU QB Blaine Gabbert, and sprinted 68 yards down the sideline for a the go-ahead TD in an exciting 27-24 Missouri win against San Diego State.

I think Moe is due for a few more of those before his MU career comes to an end.

Expect at least one of these types of plays again in '11.

T. J. Moe Will Be the Most Underrated WR in the Big 12

For much of the 2010 season, T.J. Moe was under-appreciated by the media and the rest of the nation.

After catching 92 passes and racking up 1,000 receiving yards for the year, there still wasn't a lot of talk about Moe in the media.

It doesn't help when Moe has been in the shadows of star receivers Ryan Broyles and Justin Blackmon in the Big 12 conference.

I expect Moe to get a little more attention this season, but still be vastly overlooked by many around college football this year.

T.J. Moe Will Be a Second-Team All-Big 12 Selection Again
