Nemanja Vidic:Valiant effort. Just couldn't stop the attack.

Rio Ferdinand: Needed more out of him.

Patrice Evra: Best defender for United throughout the game.

Fabio: A little outmatched. Still a decent performance.

Ryan Giggs: Impressive play in light of personal issues.

Michael Carrick: Didn't have an answer for Barca's midfield.

Paul Scholes: Wasn't the answer to United's problems.

Nani: Creative attack. Should have subbed in sooner.

Park Ji-Sung: Couldn't disrupt Barca's midfield as hoped, anticipated.

Antonio Valencia: Pretty uninspired performance. Has seen better days.

Javier Hernandez: Non-factor. Wasn't on same page with Rooney.

Wayne Rooney: Tireless effort. Amazing goal. Expected nothing less.

Barcelona

Victor Valdes: Solid performance. As usual, not tested much.

Gerard Pique: Played well enough to make Shakira happy.

Javier Mascherano: Impressive play. Shut down United's attack.  

Eric Abidal: Solid. Smart move starting him over Puyol.

Carles Puyol: Nice of Pep to put him in.

Dani Alves: Great runs and contribution to the offense.

Sergio Busquets: Flops too much. Should be stronger.

Andres Iniesta: Brilliant passes, vision. One of the best.

Xavi: Controls the game no matter the opponent.

Pedro: Great goal. Inspired play.

David Villa: Arguably the best finisher in the game.

Lionel Messi: Tons of hype. Lived up to it.
