Champions League Final: Barcelona and Lio Messi Most Likely Will Destroy Man Utd

Mehdi MustunMay 26, 2011

England Vs Spain

The Best attacking force vs The Best defensive
force

One player with 52 goals in 54 games vs This season's best goalkeeper

The best midfield duo the world has ever seen
vs The ... Oh wait, nothing can stop them but you get the picture, we have a game on our hands.

The world, will witness either one of the best games ever played, or in contrast one of the most boring tactical games ever played. We're all hoping option A, and with Barcelona being one of those 100 percent attack and 0 percent defend teams, it looks like the world will truly be spectators to a magnificent football show.

One man who will take eyes of the two teams playing is Lionel Messi. He will play in his seconnd Champions League final and right now the odds are that he will also win this trophy. The star man has been key to Barcelona's success over recent years and they will heavily rely on him in this match.

The team Barcelona face however happen to be the most successful team in England, winning their 19th league title this season. Man Utd aren't bad themselves, having reached the final three times in the last last years.

The two best teams in the world will take on each other and 90 minutes will decide who the best team in the world is. If Messi scores, he is sure to pick up the Fifa Ballon D'or once again, should he continue his form into next season.

Another man who could challenge Messi is terms of influence on the night, is Man Utd striker Wayne Rooney. Not having the best year, but with some crucial goals and a bicycle kick his son would be proud of, he could put all his critics to peace with a good performance on the night. Good meaning winning the game for Man Utd.

His Champions League form this season has been phenomenal; showing against Schalke he can do more than just be a striker. He was leading the team, and we all know how good his long passes are. They could be key to breaking down Barcelona.

But attacking does not matter against Barcelona, If you can't defend you will lose, simple as. Madrid went with that tactics of defend the ball and kick the man and they still failed to get past Barcelona. Barcelona come at you like an ocean. A wave of attack which never seems to stop in the 90 minutes. And within those waves, sharks who can tear you apart.

I'm referring to 2 sharks in the midfield in particular. You guessed it! Xavi and Iniesta, no doubt the best duo in Midfield recent football has ever seen. It's almost like they have co linking brains, they know each others movements around the pitch, and they seem to make everything look so simple. If the 2 turn up on the night then Man Utd face a big problem stopping them. Even if they don't fully turn up, you still have a problem.

I'm not trying to tell Man Utd fans they will lose, I'm just saying...there's a good chance you might lose. Who I'm i kidding? Barcelona have a 90 percent chance of ripping Man Utd to bits. Sir Alex Ferguson should pray his team have any chance of beating Barcelona.

They are the best team in history in my eyes, and they could prove this to the world buy beating Man Utd in the Final. They have combined what so many teams couldn't do, great looking football with a mansion of trophies.

The one question everyone will be asking Ferguson is how he will stop Messi exactly? On Tuesday, he said he would come up with a solution for Messi. On Saturday we will see whether that solution worked or not, whatever it maybe.

United will not want a repeat of two years ago, where Barcelona defeated them 2-0. This time around only Ronaldo missing from the Red Devils, with the added attack force of "Chitarito". Man Utd will look to stop the best team in the world with revenge being a slight motive.

This will also mark Edward Van Der Sar's last game in football, and what a send off it could be for him...or not. He will have to come up against the attacking force of: Messi, Villa, and Pedro. The usual team have one or two great strikers, this team comes with three.

My final say of this game is... Good luck to Man Utd and trust me their going to need it because Barcelona are sweeping football teams aside for fun.
What a night it's going to be.

Prediction: Man Utd 1-3 Barcelona
