NBA Playoffs 2011: Boston Celtics vs. Miami Heat Game 2 Live Blog
After dominating a physical and altercation-filled Game 1, the Miami Heat will hope to take a 2-0 lead against the Boston Celtics on Tuesday night (7:00 p.m. ET, TNT).
James Jones accounted for 5 of the Heat's 9 three-pointers as Miami shot 47 percent from three and 47 percent overall.
Celtics' PG Rajon Rondo played arguably his worst game of the playoffs, missing the majority of the second quarter after picking up his third foul.
Backup Delonte West did a decent job of weathering the storm but the Boston's lack of fluidity without Rondo on the court was more than apparent.
Rondo never seemed to get back in-sync and the Celtics were all but done once Paul Pierce was thrown out for one of the weaker technical fouls we have seen in postseason history.
For Boston, it is not about excuses. They know they have to play much better to have any chance of winning this series and it needs to start on Tuesday.
Dwyane Wade any predictions of continued difficulties against Boston to bed with a 38-point performance that was both energetic and tactical.
The Heat will continue to need a solid effort from their supporting cast while the Celtics must have a better performance from Rajon Rondo in hopes of tying this one up heading back to Boston.
No-Surprise Injury Report: Shaquille O'Neal and Udonis Haslem are both out for Tuesday's game. Both players are supposedly “very close” to a return.
