Champions League: Inter Milan Vs. Bayern Munich Starting Lineup Predictions

Wednesday's UEFA Champions League match between Inter Milan and Bayern Munich will be watched with attention around the world as the two clubs will battle it out in a re-match of last season's Champions League final. Inter coach Leonardo has some holes to fill, but it appears he will be able to do so because he has all of his top midfielders ready to go.

Diego Milito, who scored both goals in last season's final, is out. Giampaolo Pazzini, who moved to the club from Sampdoria last month, is ineligible, having already played in this season's Champions League.

The following is the predicted starting lineup for Inter for Wednesday.

The Brazilian goalie is healthy once again and had a good performance over the weekend in a 1-0 win over Cagliari.

Maicon wasn't himself under Rafa Benitez, but has returned to become the wing back everyone was raving about a year ago. He should start at right back.

The former Bayern Munich man is coming off of an injury, but is expected to start in the center of the Inter defense.

The 23-year-old Italian defender who moved to Inter last month from Genoa, scored his first goal with the club over the weekend. At 6-foot-5, he is expected to star on Inter's backline for many years to come.

Christian Chivu

Chivu is coming off of a three-match ban in Serie A. As a result, the Romanian has been well rested and should be ready to go at left back.

The captain can play in a number of positions. Chances are he will be asked to play in a three-man defensive midfield on Wednesday for Inter.

The Brazilian-born Motta, who recently made his international debut with Italy against Germany, is in solid form and does a fine job a passing midfielder.

Cambiasso is one of the world's best defensive midfielders. He is a safe bet to start against Bayern Munich.

Stankovic's form of late gives him the nod over Goran Pandev. Stankovic's presence means Leonardo will go with the Christmas tree formation of 4-3-2-1.

Sneijder is coming off of a minor injury and should be ready to go against Bayern.

Eto'o gets the nod as the lone striker. The only other options Leonardo has in attack are Goran Pandev and seldom-used David Suazo.
